Diane Moreland earned a Master of Science degree in General Experimental Psychology (Texas Christian University) and has 20 years of experience in program evaluation, survey design, data management, statistical analysis, and report writing. She has analyzed both quantitative and qualitative data. She has created and managed large-scale datasets. Diane has conducted focus groups in-person and online. Diane has experience in child welfare research and evaluation (including conducting two randomized control trials), tobacco prevention and cessation evaluation, and substance abuse prevention evaluation.
Diane previously worked at the Arizona Prevention Resource Center with ASU in providing evaluation services to community tobacco prevention and cessation coalitions and organizations. She has experience working with local, county and statewide prevention providers. Diane also worked at Casey Family Programs to establish a program that provided substance abuse and child welfare services to families.
Currently, Diane is a Senior Research Analyst at the Southwest Interdisciplinary Research Center (SIRC). She recently finished working on the evaluation of the Childhelp National Child Abuse Hotline project, the Childhelp Speak Up Be Safe Research Control Trials, the Maricopa County Department of Public Health Tobacco Prevention and Cessation project, and three Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services grants. She is currently the project lead for a community-based participatory research training grant and the quantitative project lead for a community health needs assessment project.
