Chelsea Tyrrell is an Assistant Vice President of Provost Operations, in the Office of the Executive Vice President and University Provost. She is responsible for the oversight of the operational functions in the Provost office as it relates to budget, finance, human resources, facilities, and research. Tyrrell works closely with colleagues and deans in academic units to advocate for budgeting and finance, including their human resource needs. She serves as a liaison and consistently meets with key university stakeholders to strategically plan and develop university financial models for the Academic Enterprise.
Prior to joining the Office of the Office of the Executive Vice President and University Provost, Tyrrell served as the lead financial contact for The College, Natural Sciences Division. There she provided guidance and oversight of the division’s budget, finances and human resources. She worked closely with the Dean of Natural Sciences, and the Assistant Dean of Finance and Budget, to collaborate and provide guidance to implement strategic financial decisions for the natural sciences’ units.
Chelsea has enjoyed her career with ASU for 23 years, and has worked in several units to include the areas of student affairs, research, and the Academic Enterprise at the unit, college and administrative level. She is a proud Sun Devil alumna with a BA in Human Communication.
