Quin (Taylor) Blackmore is an alum of ASU’s Sidney Poitier New American Film School, graduating in 2018 with a BA in Film and Media Production. Following their degree, they built a successful freelance career in the Phoenix Valley as a videographer, photographer, and editor, capturing more than 100 weddings, memorial services and live concerts, working two years as a preschool photographer, and serving as a freelance editor for the Phoenix-based nonprofit CALA Alliance.
Blackmore now serves as Communications Program Coordinator for The Sidney Poitier New American Film School, where they lead integrated marketing and communications to showcase the achievements of students, faculty, and staff. Their work includes creating and managing digital, print, video, and social media content while overseeing internal platforms, email campaigns, and event promotion. They also capture and report on live events, foster community engagement across ASU and with external organizations and develop strategies and sponsorship materials that elevate the school’s visibility.
Alongside their communications work, Blackmore teaches FMP 215: Beginning Post Production with Adobe Premiere, sharing their professional expertise with the next generation of filmmakers.
