Long Bio
A first-generation college graduate and lifelong Sun Devil, Ramon holds a Bachelor’s degree in English with a concentration in Writing, Rhetorics, and Literacies, which sparked his deep engagement with diverse literature, critical perspectives, and the power of language. Following his undergraduate experience, he pursued a Master’s in Secondary Education and began his professional journey as a 2018 Teach For America Corps Member, where he dedicated four impactful years to teaching 6th–8th grade English. His Master’s Applied Project, Literatura Latina: Culturally-Relevant Curriculum and Literature in Latinx Classrooms, examined how culturally immersive literature and classroom experiences influence student success.
After his time in the classroom, Ramon broadened his work in education through roles with Chicanos Por La Causa and Arizona State University’s Futures Center, supporting learners and families while helping students connect their academic experiences to future pathways. These experiences deepened his understanding of education as a lifelong, ecosystem-driven process that extends beyond the classroom.
Currently, Ramon serves as an Instructional Designer at Arizona State University’s Mary Lou Fulton College for Teaching and Learning Innovation, building on his work as an Instructional Designer Associate to shape how complex ideas become meaningful learning experiences. His work centers on translating dense content into engaging, interactive environments that support both educators and learners, blending learning science, storytelling, and digital design to create experiences that are not only accessible, but transformative at scale.
