Hudson Sessions received his PhD from the Department of Management and Entrepreneurship at Arizona State University. He returned as an associate professor interested in how people proactively shape their work lives to take control and capitalize on opportunities.
His research interests include people with multiple jobs, such as hybrid entrepreneurs, micro-entrepreneurs, and plural careerists. He also examines the experiences of empowered and exploited gig workers and people who speak up to improve their work status quo. The Academy of Management Journal, Journal of Applied Psychology, Personnel Psychology, and Journal of Management have published his work.
Hudson has worked in public accounting and for a nonprofit. He enjoys engaging with students and SMB owners about how they can cultivate greater success.
