Hudson Sessions received his PhD from the Department of Management and Entrepreneurship at Arizona State University. He returned as an associate professor interested in how people proactively shape their work lives and capitalize on opportunities.
His research focuses on people with multiple jobs, such as hybrid entrepreneurs, micro-entrepreneurs, and plural careerists. He also examines how gig workers can overcome the challenges that accompany their independent work and what happens when employees speak up to improve the status quo in their organizations. The Academy of Management Journal, Journal of Applied Psychology, Personnel Psychology, and Journal of Management have published his work.
Hudson worked in public accounting and for a nonprofit before becoming a professor. He enjoys engaging with students and small- and medium-business owners about how they can cultivate success.
