Joy joined the Fulton Schools advising team in the Polytechnic School in January 2014. She was born and raised in Arizona and received her bachelor’s degree in Sociology with a minor in Social Work and her Masters of Education in Counseling and Human Relations from Northern Arizona University. Joy has worked in higher education in advising and other various roles for over 15 years and enjoys helping students reach their goals. She also loves volunteering around campus and being involved in the Council of Academic Advisors (CAA) as well as running the social media for the advising office. In her spare time, Joy can be found spending time with her husband, Ed, and dog, Mocha. She also enjoys volunteering her time with various organizations such as the Colton Cowell Foundation, Miss Arizona Scholarship Organization, HopeKids, and the Arizona Twirling Athletes as well as a good 5K for charities like the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention or Children’s Cancer Network.
