Andrew Vandertoorn joined the National Council in July 2020. He is a C-17A pilot for the U.S. Air Force Reserve and a Boeing 737 first officer with Delta Air Lines. As the chief pilot of his squadron, Vandertoorn is tasked with recruiting, hiring and training the next generation of pilots. As an undergraduate, Vandertoorn attended Barrett, The Honors College, and was a recipient of ASU’s Stanford B. Roper and Thunderbird Pilot Scholarship.
Vandertoorn enjoys volunteering for organizations that support ASU and the military and promote aviation. He is proud to be part of the first cohort of the ASU Leadership Institute. In his free time, Vandertoorn enjoys flying, hiking, mountain biking, fishing, entertaining and exploring new countries.
