Long Bio

As a program coordinator for the School for the Future of Innovation in Society, Emma Giles coordinates projects developed in collaboration with ASU's research affiliate, SciStarter. She is the director of programs and operations for SciStarter. She manages Citizen Science Month (a global movement to reach a goal # of "Acts of Science"), the SciStarter Ambassador program, standard public outreach campaigns, and special programs such as Do NASA Science LIVE. Emma is an instructor for the Community Science course in the Mary Lou Fulton College for Teaching and Learning Innovation and Introduction to Citizen Science course in the College of Global Futures.

Before her current role, Emma was a 5th grade Math and Science teacher in Phoenix, AZ for three years.
