Ken Fagan is the multimedia developer, senior, in the ASU Visual Communications office, within the department of Media Relations and Strategic Communications. In this role, Ken acts as a video storyteller for ASU News and Media Relations, conceiving of fresh and interesting ways to communicate the university’s unique mission and accomplishments in the visual medium.
Ken has been a part of Arizona State University professionally for 18 years, in the Enterprise Marketing Hub, the University Technology Office and doing a previous stint in Media Relations. In that time he has traveled to Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Guatemala, Peru and Turkey documenting ASU’s global reach and the opportunities it provides students.
Prior to joining ASU, he spent 10 years in professional journalism as an editor and videographer at KOLD-TV in Tucson, and KTVK-TV and KNXV-TV in Phoenix. He has also worked in the film industry in Los Angeles in various production roles.
Fagan holds a B.A. from what was then called the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Telecommunication, a master’s degree in mass communication from the renamed Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication, and a master’s degree in museum studies from the School of Human Evolution and Social Change here at ASU.
