Julia O'Neill is a Research Advancement Administrator Senior at the Biodesign Institute. She has previously worked at Arizona State University (ASU) in the capacity of a Research Assistant for the College of Health Solutions and a Graduate Teaching Assistant in the School of Geographical Sciences & Urban Planning. She received a Bachelor's of Science in Dietetics (Nutrition) with a minor in Personal Health from ASU in 2018. In 2022, Julia graduated with a Master's in Urban and Environmental Planning from ASU. During this program she studied how the Central-Phoenix built environment creates unintended barriers that impact free food accessibility for local community members. Julia has experience managing multi-year grant-funded epidemiology research studies and conducting community field work for government agencies. Her current interests lie in advancing research in climate change, agriculture, and public health.
