Jill Andrews, chief brand officer and vice president, leads Enterprise Brand Strategy and Management at Arizona State University. The organization is responsible for setting the university’s brand positioning, advancing its highest-priority brand initiatives and equipping units with the tools and training needed to build and strengthen one of the most powerful brands in higher education.
As ASU’s lead brand strategist, Andrews integrates research, data and audience insights to shape brand and creative strategy designed to drive long-term growth and strengthen the university’s position in an evolving higher education landscape. She leads a highly skilled multidisciplinary team of researchers, strategists, creatives and digital experts, as well as ASU’s Print and Imaging Lab.
Andrews orchestrates complex, universitywide brand and marketing initiatives across a diverse portfolio that includes enrollment, athletics, academic initiatives, economic development, and trademark and licensing. Her work brings together teams and expertise from across the university to advance ASU’s most important priorities and strengthen the impact and consistency of the ASU brand.
Andrews also serves as publisher of ASU Thrive, one of the largest publications in Arizona. She and her teams have earned regional and national recognition, including Emmy Awards, CASE Circle of Excellence Awards and multiple President’s Awards for Innovation.
Andrews joined ASU in 1999 and brings a unique depth of institutional and marketing experience, having served in a range of leadership roles during a period of significant university growth, advancement and recognition. Throughout her ASU career, she has directed marketing efforts spanning branding, recruitment, student affairs, faculty and academic affairs, alumni engagement and extended education. Before joining ASU, she held marketing and communications positions with nonprofit organizations and national media relations and public relations firms.
An ASU alumna, Andrews holds a Master of Public Administration and a bachelor’s degree in communication from the university and is a graduate of ASU’s Advanced Leadership Institute. In 2026, she was selected for the Institute for Real Growth’s IRG100 Leadership Program, joining a global cohort of 100 senior marketing and growth leaders focused on advancing business, organizational and societal growth.
