Isabel comes from Los Angeles, California with a passion for college access and education equity. As a first-generation student, she understands the struggles that come with being the first in your family to pursue higher education. Her passion for education started as a student worker for Access ASU, where she then went on to serve as Coordinator Senior for the department. She managed the Early Outreach Scholarship program that serves current Sun Devils from various backgrounds. Through this, Isabel formed deep and personal relationships with the community she served. She understands the need for improving our educational system through the work of policy implementation. Isabel holds a Master of Arts in Educational Policy from Arizona State University and a B.S in Political Science from ASU. Isabel is currently focusing on leveraging the experiences of Paraeducators to further the mission of MLFTC and the Next Education Workforce Initiative.
