Long Bio
Isabel comes from Los Angeles, California with a passion for college access and education equity. As a first-generation student, she understands the struggles that come with being the first in your family to pursue higher education. Her passion for education started as a student worker for Access ASU, where she then went on to serve as Coordinator Senior for the department. She managed the Early Outreach Scholarship program that serves current Sun Devils from various backgrounds. Through this, Isabel formed deep and personal relationships with the community she served. She understands the need to improve our educational system through the work of policy implementation. She also supported the mission of the Next Education Workforce initiative by building resources and pathways for Paraeducators in the valley. Isabel holds a Master of Arts in Educational Policy and a B.S in Political Science from Arizona State University. Isabel is currently collaborating closely with the Downtown Phoenix Integrated Services team, along with various team members in Los Angeles to bolster support for the burgeoning student community at ASU FIDM.
