Anielka Contreras is Assistant Director of Executive and Continuing Education within the College of Health Solutions at Arizona State University. Her primary focus in assisting to set the strategic direction, developing the client relationship model that incorporates financial measures for business growth, and establishing operational excellence.
Anielka comes to CHS from Thunderbird School of Global Management’s Executive Education unit where she managed a diverse portfolio of international corporate clients in the delivery of customized, impactful learning and development solutions at various levels of leadership. Such clients included The Hershey Company, Magna International, Mexican conglomerate - Grupo Alfa, and Wallenius Wilhelmsen Logistics (WWL) and Wihl.Wilhelmsen (WW) out of Norway. Anielka worked closely with key company stakeholders to assess learning and needs development critical to determine ROI. As a key account manager, she oversaw early-stage needs assessment, stakeholder interviews, contract negotiations, program delivery, and on-going relationship management.
Prior to joining Thunderbird, Anielka spent 10 years working in the private and public sectors, with non-profit organizations and educational institutions throughout the Southwest. Her areas of expertise include program development, project management, key client management, stakeholder relations and coaching. Anielka currently serves on the board of directors of Mountain Park Health Center, a community health center with offices throughout the Phoenix-metro area with specific involvement in the Quality, Safety and Compliance Committee.
Anielka is an alumni of Valley Leadership Institute, Class 31, and the recipient of the Phoenix Business Journal 40 Hispanic Leaders under 40 Award in 2009. She holds a Master’s in Administration in Organizational Leadership from Northern Arizona University and earned a Bachelor’s in Political Science and Spanish Literature from the University of Nevada, Reno.
An avid explorer, Anielka’s passions include international travel, culinary adventures and yoga. She currently lives in Phoenix, Arizona with her wife, their twins, Ava and Lucas and their sweet (and slightly neurotic) rescue dog, Scout.
