Benjamin has been working at ASU and living in the Valley since 1999, graduating from The College of William and Mary in 1998.
In 2000, Benjamin entered service at ASU within the College of Public Programs' High Downs School of Human Communication (HDSHC is now a part of The College, aka the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, or CLAS) managing IT and servers and systems administration, with one year (2005) spent within the Web and Data Communications team in the CLAS Dean's Office.
Since 2006 he has been fortunate to work with the Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts' Deans Office, within the Herberger Online Learning (HOL) team in a senior role.
Since late 2025, Benjamin transitioned to work in ASU's Enterprise Technology ITSCS Apps team, in support of HIDA HOL.
