Priyanka Makin is a computer engineer, creative technologist, and educator specializing in embedded systems and programming. Her work focuses on rapid hardware prototyping, designing bespoke devices, and building inclusive educational spaces. She has been an Ada Lovelace Fellow, a presenter at Hackaday Supercon, and a Toolmaker-in-Residence at Signal Culture.
Currently, Makin is faculty at ASU’s GAME School, where she teaches microcontroller circuitry and creative coding to designers. She previously worked as a product engineer at SparkFun Electronics and is the co-founder of Material Kitchen, an open resource for sustainable fabrication materials. She is an alum from NYU’s Interactive Telecommunications Program and University of Colorado Boulder ECEE program.
