Casey began ASU employment in July, 1990 in Residential Life as a program coordinator, providing advising for the Residence Hall Association, and supervising RA's and Hall Directors. He later became an academic advisor in the fall, 1994 for exploratory, undeclared students at ASU in the Division of Undergraduate Academic Services (DUAS). In 1996 Casey moved into an administrator role supervising academic advisors, recruitment, and residential colleges focusing on exploratory students and declared majors in the College of Integrative Sciences and Arts (CISA) on the ASU Tempe, Downtown Phoenix, Polytechnic and Online campuses. In June 2018, Casey transitioned to The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences on the Tempe campus and now serves as the Senior Director, Academic Advising.
Casey is proud to be involved in NACADA: The Global Community for Academic Advising, serving in several leadership roles in recent years.
Casey obtained a Speech Communication bachelors degree at University of Northern Colorado in 1986, and a master’s degree in College Student Personnel Administration from Western Illinois University in 1990.
