Rebecca McKay is a Data Scientist and Software Engineer for the ASU Helios Decision Center for Educational Excellence. The Decision Center brings together all we know about the education system, the resources of ASU and Helios, and education stakeholders in order to drive positive change and better student outcomes. The vision is to empower all Arizona students to maximize their potential, experience an excellent quality of life and contribute to healthy and vibrant communities. Partnering with ASU’s Decision Theater and other ASU researchers and thought-leaders, we bring together data and convene key stakeholders to examine the education system and model and visualize the impact of potential new policies and innovative solutions on education outcomes.
Rebecca is also the Senior Director of Systems Development for the AZTransfer project and the ASSIST data warehouse. AZTransfer is a statewide project designed to provide information to students, faculty, and administrators regarding policies and procedures for transferring credits from community colleges to the public universities in the state of Arizona. Rebecca is responsible for the development and support of the transfer website and developing applications such as AZTransfer.com, Course Equivalency Guide (CEG) , Arizona Course Equivalency Tracking System (ACETS) , Academic Curriculum Review and Evaluation System (ACRES) , Major Guides , Articulation Task Force Chatlines , and the Exam Equivalency Guide.
