Christina Islas is an ASU alumna with over 15 years of experience in healthcare education, clinical placement, and program management. She currently serves as the Manager of the Pre-Health Internship Program and Emergency Department Internship Program, where she oversees student placements, cultivates healthcare partnerships, and supports experiential learning initiatives for pre-health students.
Prior to her current role, Christina was the Clinical Placement Specialist who helped develop the Pre-Health Internship Program from its inception. She facilitated student internship placements, coordinated onboarding with hospitals across the Phoenix Valley, and established key affiliation agreements with clinical partners.
Earlier in her career, she served as the Allied Health Program Chair at Anthem College where she managed curriculum and oversaw faculty hiring, training, and course scheduling. She collaborated closely with campus leadership to enhance student retention, and graduation outcomes and conducted externship placements and maintained relationships with clinical sites.
Christina also brings hands-on experience in sports medicine from her time at The Orthopedic Clinic Association where she supported therapeutic treatments and patient care.
With a strong foundation in both administrative leadership and direct patient care, Christina is deeply committed to supporting student success and bridging academic learning with real-world clinical opportunities.
