As a second-generation Mexican immigrant, my journey to becoming a licensed architect is deeply rooted in my cultural heritage. I believe in blending the traditions and innovations of my background to create spaces that tell meaningful stories.
Drawing from the rich and diverse influences of Mexican and indigenous architecture, I aim to design spaces that resonate with identity and community. My work is a reflection of the strength and resilience I see in the communities around me, and I strive to honor these values in every project.
In addition to my work in the field, I’m passionate about education. As a university educator, I encourage my students to embrace cultural diversity in their designs, teaching them to create spaces that foster a sense of belonging. I believe in the power of collaboration and actively seek to work with local communities and indigenous groups to ensure that their voices are heard and respected in the design process.
I see architecture as more than just creating buildings; it’s about shaping environments that bring people together and celebrate our shared humanity. I’m committed to creating designs that are not only innovative but also inclusive and culturally rich. Let’s work together to create spaces that inspire and uplift.
