Long Bio
Ryan M. Sparks is an electrical engineer and systems engineering researcher at the Laboratory for Energy And Power Solutions (LEAPS) at the Fulton Schools of Engineering at ASU. His research focuses on interdisciplinary modeling and analysis of critical infrastructure, particularly electric power systems. His passion lies in exploring relationships between these systems and other domains, such as water resources, financial markets, and public policy. Ryan has received both his BS and MS at ASU and subsequently joined the ASU team as an instructional design associate, where he built pedagogically sound engineering course material prior his involvement with LEAPS. Before his time at ASU, he spent time as an independent consultant developing hardware and facilitating NRTL certification in consumer electronics. Through his work, he hopes to contribute meaningfully to the advancement of resilient and scalable energy technologies that meet the demands of the evolving energy landscape.
