Jessi Brock

A versatile storyteller and educator, Jessi Brock is passionate about crafting narratives and nurturing the creative potential of others. Her creative endeavors span fiction, screenplays, stage plays, songs, short films, and mixed media art. Her teaching expertise encompasses foundational English composition, critical thinking, multimodal communication, and creative writing. She is dedicated to creating an accessible and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and supported.

Having received her MFA in Creative Writing & Environment from Iowa State University in 2024 and her BA in Film & Media Studies from Arizona State University in 2019, Jessi brings a rich background in both academia and the arts to her work. As a published writer and accomplished songwriter whose music has been featured in film and television, she has a wealth of experience in creative writing, songwriting, film, college writing pedagogy, and research. This diverse experience influences both her creative undertakings and her pedagogy, and she is committed to fostering innovative thinking and expression in all that she does!
