Igor Fulman received an equivalent of a master's degree in mathematics from Kazan State University, Russia, and a D.Sc. in mathematics from the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology, Israel. His research interests lie in the field of operator algebras - von Neumann Algebras and C*-Algebras. Fulman has been working at the School of Mathematical and Statistical Sciences since 2000, teaching full time with the First-Year Mathematics division since 2001. He has taught a wide variety of courses, including College Mathematics, College Algebra, Linear Algebra, Calculus at various levels, Differential Equations, Discrete Mathematics, and Mathematics for Business Analysis. Fulman served on curriculum committees choosing curriculum and textbooks for the courses of Brief Calculus and Mathematics for Business Analysis. In addition to other courses, Fulman teaches the Problem Solving Seminar, where students learn how to solve difficult and nonstandard mathematical problems.
