Dr. Trisha Eardley is a proud higher education professional. She works with the College of Integrative Sciences and Arts as the Senior Director of Academic Services over academic planning, curriculum, assessment, scheduling, teaching and learning, graduate support, academic integrity, and more. She also has extensive experience in advising and career leadership at the University and Community College levels. Dr. Eardley believes in putting people first and finds joy in helping others reach their professional goals.
Dr. Eardley has presented at the National Academic Advising Association (NACADA), the National Collegiate Honors Council (NCHC), Arizona Women in Higher Education (AWHE), ASU Commission on the Status of Women (CSW), and ASU Council of Academic Advisors (CAA). Topics include: motivation and change, maximizing technology, advising practices, high-achieving students, and applying Motivational Interviewing techniques in a variety of settings. Additionally, Dr. Eardley gives back as a mentor for AWHE, ASU CSW mentor program, Leadership Scholarship Program, and Obama Scholars Program. Trisha was awarded the 2021 Dean Award for Collaboration and Innovation, 2017 CAA Advising Administrator Award, 2014 Barrett Staff Award for exceptional service, and she participated in ASU’s Leadership in the New American University Leadership Development Program.
Dr. Eardley holds a Doctorate in Educational Leadership and Innovation through ASU’s Mary Lou Fulton Teachers College. Her dissertation study, Thesis Launch: Helping Students Begin the Undergraduate Honors Thesis Process, was the creation of a multimedia program that helped students begin thesis work early. The program was underpinned by the concepts of self-efficacy, Small Wins theory, and reflective practice. She also holds a Master of Education in Higher and Postsecondary Education where her research focused on the Second-Year experience. Other interests include the arts and travel.
