Carlos Espinoza Rodriguez

Carlos Espinoza Rodriguez is the Business Operations Specialist for the Student Connection and Community (SCC) and Dean of the Students Tempe (DOST) office, directly supporting Educational Outreach and Student Services (EOSS). In his capacity, Carlos oversees a wide range of responsibilities, including accounting, fiscal management, and operational support for various student-focused programs and initiatives. He manages and processes purchases for supplies, services, equipment, and employee reimbursements, ensuring compliance with university procurement and financial policies. Espinoza is a Sun Devil alum, having earned a B.S. in Health Care Delivery with a minor in Spanish in 2019, and is currently a student in the W.P. Carey School of Business OMBA Program with concentrations in Marketing and International Business.

On a personal note, Carlos enjoys trying out new restaurants and exploring new destinations while learning about different cultures through travel. He is also passionate about staying active and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Espinoza finds that physical activity enhances productivity in his professional life.

Espinoza has held positions across diverse industries, demonstrating a versatile skill set and adaptability in various professional environments. At Arizona State University, he is a Business Operations Specialist, responsible for complex financial management tasks, including account reconciliation, purchasing, and financial reporting. Previously, as a Logistics Specialist at the Mayo Clinic, Espinoza was integral to inventory control, product distribution, and quality assurance for medical and surgical supplies. Through these varied roles, Espinoza has developed a robust portfolio of financial management, operations, leadership, customer service, and communication skills, positioning him as a dynamic professional capable of excelling in diverse business contexts. He joins SCC and DOST at an exciting time of growth – bringing forth his skills and knowledge to help drive and manage the vision of EOSS.
