Sean McAllister is a PhD student in the Human and Social Dimensions of Science and Technology at Arizona State University's School for the Future of Innovation in Society. His research interestes include the human effects of innovation, especially in regard to governance and social outcomes. By examining tensions in the energy transition from fossil fuel based electricity systems to renewables, Sean seeks to dispel myths of binaries such as centralized versus decentralized, concentrated cersus distributed, political and economic power versus the destructive and transformational nature of innovation using methods as yet to be determined.
