Professor Alyssa Dragnich earned a B.A. from Duke University and a J.D. from the University of Chicago Law School, where she was also Articles Editor of the Chicago Journal of International Law. Following law school, Professor Dragnich joined the firm of Steptoe & Johnson LLP in Washington, D.C. Her practice focused primarily on the regulation of crude oil and petroleum products pipelines before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission.
She has been teaching law students since 2010. In 2024, she was named ASU Law's Director of Academic Success. In this role, she teaches classes and workshops, in addition to meeting with students individually to help them achieve their academic goals.
Professor Dragnich frequently presents at legal education conferences around the country and teaches CLEs on legal writing topics.
In 2021, she created the Advance Program and serves as its Faculty Director.
