Jose Rodriguez Pizarro

Jose Rodriguez Pizarro is the Financial Manager for the Knowledge Enterprise, Financial Initiative. In this role, Jose supports the operations of Corporate Engagement and Strategic Partnerships, Economic Development, Complex Adaptive Systems Initiative, and the Center for Broadening Participation in STEM, including managing the budget and financial reports to provide the best service to everyone involved. 

Previously, Jose was involved in the K-12 system as a Spanish teacher. He served as a resource for students to learn in-person or virtual using technology and innovative teaching techniques. Jose served as a Coordinator Senior of Customer Care for University Housing at ASU. He developed the University Housing tour for 11 residential halls and actively helped solve questions or issues for more than 16,000 students who lived on campus. Before that, Jose taught math and statistics at Universidad de Cuenca, providing students with the tools needed for their majors. In 2014, Jose founded Extraclass, a tutoring company that assists students who need support in a particular subject or test preparation at all levels of education. 

Jose received his M.Ed. in Higher and Postsecondary Education from Arizona State University. He also has a B.Sc. in Marketing and a B.Sc. in Public Accounting and Auditing from Universidad de Cuenca, Ecuador.
