Caridad Rodriguez

Caridad Rodriguez holds a doctorate in Spanish (Hispanic American Literature and Culture) from Arizona State University, where she has served as a Spanish faculty associate, research assistant, Spanish coordinator assistant and teaching assistant. In addition, Rodríguez earned a master's at ASU, with a concentration in Hispanic American Literature. Also, she has a Law degree from the University of Havana, Cuba.

Rodriguez has been teaching at ASU since 2001, where she has taught lower and upper division Spanish language classes, such as Introduction to Spanish Literature, and courses for specific purposes, like Spanish for Business Communication and Spanish with a Legal Focus. Also, she has experience teaching at Maricopa Community Colleges where she has taught grammar and conversational courses. Moreover, she has taught high school Spanish at Girl’s Leadership Academy of Arizona and Glendale Preparatory Academy, which is part of the Great Heart Chapter Schools of Arizona.

Rodríguez has presented at national and international congresses, symposiums, and conferences. Those include papers presented in Latin American Studies Association (LASA); Conferences on Caribbean Literature (ICCL); American Association of Teachers of Spanish and Portuguese (AATSP); Asociación Hispánica de Humanidades (AHH); and Asociación Internacional de Literatura y Cultura Femenina Hispánica among others.
