Before joining the Knowledge Enterprise strategic marketing team, Baker worked three years for ASU's Enterprise Marketing Hub. She established herself as a nationally published writer and content consultant prior to joining ASU, working as an independent copywriter and editor for a roster of clients that included universities, digital marketing agencies, content marketing firms, health care organizations, nonprofits, publishers and entrepreneurial ventures. She also worked as a stringer for Glamour magazine. One of her alumni magazine cover stories was a first-place winner in the 2014 Hermes Creative Awards, an international competition.
Baker holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism, magna cum laude, from ASU's Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication, where she received college journalism's Pulitzer Prize -- the William Randolph Hearst Award -- for newswriting. She later returned to ASU to complete the New Media Academy. An Arizona native, she lives in Tempe. She enjoys spending time with friends and family, hiking, kayaking and white water rafting. She's a fitness buff who loves Zumba and yoga classes.
