Sarah A. McCarty received a Master of Arts in arts journalism from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in communications and a minor in cinema studies. She spent several years producing clear and compelling multimedia stories as a community news reporter and working as a freelance music and culture journalist for several regional and national publications. As the communications manager for ASU’s Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts, she now gets to share and promote the stories of students, faculty, artists, entrepreneurs and innovators who make up the Herberger Institute.
