Jana Vandenberg holds a BA and MA in Mathematics. She is currently pursuing her PhD in Mathematics Education and is interested in the intersection of self-regulated learning, retrieval practice, and growth mindset research. Specifically, she is exploring how students can be supported in preparing for high-stakes introductory mathematics exams. Jana is invested in fostering student success in the classroom as a Graduate Teaching Assistant (TA). She has experience as a TA with MAT 170 (PreCalculus), MAT 265 (Calculus I for Engineers), and MAT 266 (Calculus II for Engineers). As an undergraduate student she was an Instructional Aide (IA) for classes ranging from MAT 117 (College Algebra) to MAT 267 (Calculus III for Engineers) in a variety of modalities.
