Scott Mahler is the Senior Director of the Learning and Teaching Hub (LTH) in the Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering at Arizona State University. He leads a multidisciplinary team of learning experience designers, media specialists, instructional coaches, data analysts, and technologists focused on transforming teaching and learning at scale. Under Scott’s leadership, the Hub partners with faculty and academic leaders to elevate the student experience through instructional consultation, professional development, data-informed design, and innovative technology integration.
Since joining ASU in 2016, Scott has played a role in shaping FSE’s approach to digital and immersive learning. He previously served as Director of Digital Immersion with the Office of Global Outreach and Extended Education (GOEE), where he collaborated across academic and technical teams to implement ASU’s online and hybrid learning strategies. Before ASU, Scott provided strategic and operational leadership at the University of Michigan’s Digital Education & Innovation Lab within the Office of Academic Innovation.
His work is guided by the Learning and Teaching Hub’s vision that all current and future engineering students thrive academically, and its mission to improve student outcomes, retention, access, and inclusivity across all FSE programs.
