Long Bio
Gisselle Ayala is a Coordinator within the Watts College of Public Service and Community Solutions at Arizona State University. She supports both the School of Public Affairs and the Mechanics of Democracy Lab (MODL) through event coordination, communications, and administrative functions. She is also a graduate student in the Master of Public Administration and Public Policy program at ASU. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications and Media Studies from ASU's Walter Cronkite School of Journalism, bringing an interdisciplinary perspective to the study of public affairs. As a first-generation Latina college graduate, Gisselle is deeply committed to equity and civic access, values that are reflected throughout her professional work. Her background spans civic engagement across culturally diverse and historically underrepresented communities, including sustained outreach in tribal communities throughout Arizona, where she has focused on voter education, Indigenous sovereignty, and culturally informed civic participation.
