My research interest is the interaction between science policy and sociotechnical systems. I had experience in participative models of engagement, historical inquiries, and transdisciplinary dialogues as research methodologies to understand different phenomena in the history of Latin-American technology, science policy in Chile and critical innovation frameworks applied to maker spaces, Wikipedia practices, MOOCs, Citizen Science and Open knowledge.
My dissertation focus is about Ways of future knowledge in Latin America
I work as Research Assistant for the National Nanotechnology Coordinated Infrastructure (NNCI) under their director of Science and Society, Dr. Jameson Wetmore. In that position, I help on the organization of the programs Science Outside the Lab and the SFIS Winter School.
In addition, I´m part of the Borderland STS Lab (Dr. Smith) and the Society, Policy and Engineering Collective (Dr. Michaels), and I have strong participation in the Latin American and Global societies of Science and Technology Studies (ESOCITE and 4S).
