Long Bio
Piyush Hota is a Ph.D. student and a Graduate Research Associate at the ASU-Mayo Clinic Medical Devices and Methods Laboratory. He is involved with the development of diagnostic solutions for detecting Acute Kidney Injury for hospitalized patients. Before starting his doctoral studies he worked as an Assistant Research Technologist at the Center of Bioelectronics and Biosensors at the Biodesign Institute, Arizona State University. He received his Master's of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Arizona State University in 2019. Prior to ASU, he was a Mechanical Design Engineer at Sense it Out Technologies developing agricultural automation (2016-2017). He received his undergraduate degree from Savitribai Phule Pune University, India in 2016. Piyush has a keen research interest in biomedical devices, rotary-wing aerodynamics, wind turbines, and fluid dynamics.
