Ryan Woodcock has more than 21 years of experience in the sports communications field, and is currently in his 17th year handling media relations efforts for the Waste Management Phoenix Open. In his role as Director of Communications for the tournament, Woodcock is responsible for all internal and external communications for the PGA TOUR’s most attended golf event, as well as handling media relations, credentialing, corporate communications, social media and website content creation, publications, marketing, advertising, photography and videography.
Woodcock also has worked in the sports communications offices with the NBA’s Portland Trail Blazers and the Denver Nuggets, and at the collegiate level at the University of New Mexico.
Woodcock is a graduate of ASU’s Walter Cronkite School of Journalism, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Public Relations.
