Long Bio
Maya Williams (she/her) is a faculty associate in Counseling and Counseling Psychology at Arizona State University. She graduated with a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the Teachers College, Columbia University and obtained her PhD in Counseling Psychology from the University of Missouri – Columbia. She completed her pre-doctoral internship at Vanderbilt University and is currently a postdoctoral resident at Portland State University’s Student Health and Counseling Services. Maya has a strong background in multicultural counseling and her clinical and research interests include supporting underrepresented college students, culturally informed mental health services, and psychological assessment.
