Chris is a U.S. Air Force Chaplain on active-duty. He discerned a call to the priesthood, and a specific vocation as a chaplain, through serving coffee to regulars at his coffee shop and so entered a discernment process with his local parish and diocese. He earned a Bachelor of Science in business administration from the University of Valley Forge, and studied at Nashotah House Theological Seminary in Wisconsin, completing a Master of Divinity. During his course of studies in seminary, he was admitted to the Air Force Reserves chaplain candidate program and was ultimately ordained a transitional deacon and priest. After seminary Chris pursued clinical chaplain training and served several parishes as an interim priest in the Washington D.C. area and became a Reserve Chaplain in New Jersey, eventually being brought on to active-duty. As a chaplain, Chris hopes to capitalize on the interdisciplinary collaboration that the social work field seems to provide and foster, in an effort to provide a deeper level of care to the military demographic he serves.
