Dr. Galician--"The Original Dr. FUN" (a nickname
by which she is widely and affectionately known because of the
trademarked musical motivation program she created,
FUN-dynamics!®: The FUN-damental of DYNAMIC Living)--is Lead
Professor of Cronkite/ASU Online. After many years in the classroom,
she now teaches exclusively online in ASU's 7.5-week sessions.
Dr. Galician (rhymes with "physician") is a media literacy
advocate and the creator of Realistic Romance®. She created the
course MCO 473: Sex, Love, and Romance in the Mass Media, which is a
model used at other universities. Her pioneering media literacy
book--Sex, Love, and Romance in the Mass Media--has been
honored as a Recommended Resource by the Center for media literacy.
She is also the co-editor of Critical Thinking
About Sex, Love, and Romance in the Mass Media and
the editor of The Handbook of Product Placement in the Mass
Media, the first book in English devoted to this subject.
She joined the Cronkite School faculty after a long career in the
mass media.
