Adam Deguire serves as Vice President in the Office of Government and Community Engagement at Arizona State University. In this role, Deguire oversees all relations and interactions with elected officials and policymakers at the federal, state, municipal and tribal levels. Deguire also manages the execution of the university’s public policy agenda, provides strategic guidance on political trends and issues that impact the university and higher education, and oversees public engagement with organizations, non-profits and other community partners.
Prior to joining Arizona State University, Deguire was a partner at a Phoenix-based public affairs firm where he ran the firm’s political and advocacy operations and assisted multiple corporate clients with their legislative strategy and government affairs needs. Deguire’s professional experience includes serving as a Chief of Staff to a U.S. Representative, as well as a senior political advisor to several federal, state and local candidates and campaigns.
For his achievements, the American Association of Political Consultants (AAPC) recognized Adam as a “40 under 40” rising star in 2017, in addition to earning the Phoenix Business Journal’s recognition of "40 under 40" in 2022. A native Arizonan and proud Eagle Scout, Deguire graduated from Brophy College Preparatory in Phoenix before receiving his degree in Political Science from the University of Arizona. He and his wife Dawn now live in Mesa with their son.
