Kevin Morris

Originally from Chicago, Kevin arrived in Phoenix and ASU in 2017. Since then, he has called Phoenix his home. He is a proud first-generation graduate who benefitted from developmental programs like TRIO, Upward Bound, and Inroads. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Northern Illinois University and a Master of Science from Chicago State University.

After some work experiences with a Fortune 500 company and a large national bank, he was left unsatisfied with his career choice. His love for education and desire to help others attain their educational aspirations would lead to his transition to a career in higher education. He has served as an academic advisor, an after-school enrichment program coordinator, and a facilitator of student housing for international students. With these work experiences, Kevin has enjoyed the success stories of helping students achieve their goals.

Currently, he serves as the Assistant Director of Student Engagement and Retention with the College of Health Solutions. His focus involves providing retention services as he exercises strategies and other efforts with the purpose of retaining more students and ultimately increasing graduation rates. Kevin is encouraged by his impact on the ASU community and is looking forward to more success stories to place on his mantle.
