Driven by her vision of resilient food systems where communities and ecosystems thrive symbiotically, Jane works as a Senior Communications Specialist at Arizona State University’s Swette Center for Sustainable Food Systems. In this position, she leads stakeholder engagement and strategic communications across the Center’s expansive research, education, and policy portfolio.
In addition to communications, Jane brings both policy and agricultural expertise to her work. As a graduate student intern on Capitol Hill with the U.S. Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition, and Forestry, she wrote policy memos for senior staff, assisted with Committee hearings, and pitched new ideas for the Farm Bill. Jane also has unique on-the-ground agricultural insights from her time working on one of the first organic farms in the United States.
Jane holds a Master of Science and Bachelor of Science in Sustainable Food Systems, a Graduate Certificate in Food Policy and Sustainability Leadership, and a minor in Nutrition and Healthy Living. Her dedication to sustainable food and agriculture is also evident through her volunteer work as a Board Member for the Grain Place Foundation.
