Long Bio
With over eight years of experience in public post-secondary education, I have dedicated my career to supporting diverse student populations, including veterans, through roles at community colleges and universities. My journey began in veteran services, where I specialized in financial aid and veteran education benefits, ensuring that students received the support they needed to succeed. This foundation led me to work across different continents, where I gained invaluable experience working with diverse populations.
Currently, I serve as the Lead Enrollment Coach for Team Bravo at Arizona State University (Ed Plus). In this role, I manage and guide a team of 12-18 enrollment coaches, helping students navigate admissions, registration, and financial aid, including FAFSA and veteran benefits. My work is characterized by a persuasive communication style that simplifies complex topics, allowing me to connect with and support both internal and external stakeholders effectively.
Throughout my career, I have consistently achieved results by finding innovative ways to increase efficiencies and enhance the student experience. My adaptability, self-discipline, and drive ensure I thrive in fast-paced environments, while my strong time management and communication skills enable me to lead effectively.
In addition to my work at ASU, I have a proven record of contributing to the development and modification of university policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. My leadership style is rooted in empathy and a deep commitment to maintaining high standards of customer service.
Recently, I was honored to be asked to contribute to an article in US News titled "4 Things Veterans Choosing an Online Degree Program Should Consider," where I provided insights based on my extensive experience working with veteran students.
My educational background includes a Bachelor of Public Administration from Northern Arizona University and an Associate in Arts from Mesa Community College. I am also certified in Cultural Advocacy by Arizona State University.
