I am a geomorphologist and currently focus on the effects of vegetation on sediment transport over coastal foredunes. This work utilizes high resolution elevation data collected with terrestrial laser scanners and unmanned aerial vehicles. I am particularly interested in how anthropogenic influences force change within geomorphic systems and how those systems adapt. Ongoing research and interests include the effects of basin overflow on endorheic basins, the effects of hydrologic modification on agricultural systems in the Upper Midwest, and post-glacial landscape evolution in the Upper Midwest.
