Dawn Janssen is marketing and communications manager for The Center for Resilient Families at the ASU REACH Institute. The mission of the ASU REACH Institute, which is within the Department of Psychology, is to bridge the gap between university-based research and practice to promote children’s mental and physical health and academic achievement. In this role, Dawn develops integrated marketing strategies, programs and digital content to support efforts in delivering programs and resources to diverse populations.
Prior to this role, Dawn led the communications strategy for The Center for Accelerating Operational Efficiency, A DHS Center of Excellence, led by ASU with the goal of conducting customer-driven research to address homeland security challenges. As the inaugural communication manager for the center, Dawn launched the communications strategy and branding for the center including the creation of the communications processes and infrastructure for the center.
A strategic marketing leader experienced in recognizing and responding to the needs of the customer and driving innovative marketing programs, Dawn’s experience prior to joining ASU in 2018 was working in the private sector to advance revenue goals for companies ranging from technology start-ups to Fortune 500 brands such as Avnet and First Solar. Dawn holds a MS in Technical Communication from Arizona State University and a BS in Business Administration with a major in Marketing from the University of Arizona.
