Dr. Keck is a full time Clinical Assistant Professor at the Edson College of Nursing and Health Innovation. Her nursing career spans 26 years as a Critical Care Nurse. Dr. Keck earned her Doctor Of Nursing Practice from ASU. After earning her Master of Science in Nursing Education in February of 2017 from MidAmerica Nazarene University, Candace was able to transition to the role of Clinical Nurse Educator for her Critical Care Unit. One of her achievements was the development and implementation of a Trauma Curriculum, which helped support the hospital’s path to earning recognition as a Level 1 Trauma facility. Her passion for nursing education led her to join Arizona State University in June of 2018, where her teaching experience has included Term 5, Term 7, Term 8 , and MEPN. She was awarded the 2020 Nurse of the Year for Excellence in Teaching by Honor Health Deer Valley Medical Center. She is a current member of the American Association of Critical Care Nurses (AACN), the National League for Nursing (NLN), the Association for Nursing Professional Development (ANPD), and Sigma Theta Tau-Beta Upsilon Chapter.
