Yunro Chung, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor of Biostatistics at Arizona State University (ASU) with joint appointments in the College of Health Solutions and the Biodesign Center for Personalized Diagnostics, where he has been a faculty member since 2018. He received his Ph.D. in Biostatistics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Dr. Chung’s research focuses on developing novel statistical and computational methods to analyze complex, large-scale biomedical data involving censoring, truncation, or missingness. His areas of expertise include survival analysis, isotonic regression, biomarker study design and evaluation, and machine learning, with applications in clinical, translational, and epidemiological studies. In addition to his research, Dr. Chung provides statistical consulting services through ASU’s Biostatistics Consulting Core. He has taught biostatistics courses and mentored students across diverse disciplines, including statistics, biostatistics, biomedical informatics, data science, and computer science.
