Erin Berman

Erin M. Berman, originally from New York, by way of Florida, now calls the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia home. She holds advanced degrees in Corporate and Professional Communication (M.S.) and Instructional Design (M.Ed.) and completed her Doctorate of Education in Leadership and Innovation, in Feb. 2025.

With over twenty years of experience in higher education, Erin has excelled as both an instructor and instructional designer, specializing in leadership, communication, and sustainability. She is adept at integrating research from the learning sciences into practical, student-focused applications, particularly in the online learning environment. Erin draws inspiration from Aristotle's belief that "it is only by doing that one can learn," emphasizing experiential learning in her approach.

Erin is actively involved in her community, serving on the boards of her local community garden and the regional farmers market. She also leads mindfulness and yoga events, fostering a sense of well-being and connection. As a fun fact, Erin and her family support the local ASPCA by fostering farm animals and have for the past 6 years.
