Kanchana Chandrakanthan is an Assistant Teaching Professor in the School of Molecular Sciences at Arizona State University. Originally from Sri Lanka, she is a graduate chemist from the Institute of Chemistry Ceylon and holds a Bachelor of Science Special degree in Chemistry from the University of Colombo. She graduated from Arizona State University in 2024 with a Ph.D. in Chemistry.
Before joining the faculty at ASU as an Assistant Teaching Professor, Dr. Chandrakanthan was a Postdoctoral Research Scholar in the Herckes/Fraser Lab in the School of Molecular Sciences. She currently teaches CHM 302 (Environmental Chemistry, Online) as well as CHM 113, CHM 114, and CHM 116 in-person courses.
