Tunga currently serves as a Director of Partnerships and Projects for the Office of University Affairs, advancing the design process for a new model for conservation education. She started her career at Arizona State University as a University Innovation Fellow where she launched a STEM Scholars program for international students as her signature project. She stayed on as Senior Director at the ASU Office of University Initiatives.
In 2019, she left to launch a new team as Director of the Presidential Advancement at the ASU Foundation where she advanced philanthropic relationships and strategies for presidential priorities in areas of student success, education technology, refugee education and educational access.
Prior to her tenure at ASU, Tunga taught Special Education as a Teach For America Corps member and served as a Senior Associate at a leading public affairs firm in Phoenix where she specialized in legislative affairs, campaign development and strategic communications.
She earned a BA in Political Science from ASU and an MA in Journalism from Indiana University.
